Mission Time Opinions(MTO)

I was thinking, we should have a mssion.
But first, I'll need some opinions, to help the mission experienc to be the best possible. The only thing for now I want you to do, is to answer the following questions using the comments.

1.What level would you like the mission to be
-Easy
-Medium
-Hard

2.How much time would you like the mission to consume?
-Under 10 minutes
-11 to 20 minutes
-21-30 minutes
-30+ minutes

The mission is virtual, ok. And the prize...it's...a secret. Shhhhhh!

Secret Search

Okay, I'm bored now but I still think this is worth it.
On ninemsn, there is a Secret Search Competion. Firstly, you download the toolbar. Then search your search! There are heaps of prizes to be won, every 15 minutes. The only catch is, 10 searches per entry(or something like that).

Aaaah! Zombie Attack!

For all you Melbournians, today was our third Zombie Shuffle.

A horde of the undead graced the lively CBD of Melbourne (Swanston St, Federation Square, Southbank and Crown Casino).

Heaps of Zombies turned up, with all their gore and glory. All this was organised on Facebook( you know, the social networking site, yadayadayada...)

The group had to follow a set of rules put in order for the eve. The only 'zombish' behaviour was when a group of zombies jumped onto the sides of a stopped tram and smashed its windows(ha, trams deserve it, [I think]).

Aaaargh! Help! This is fashion? Yes, we know the designers look in very (very) strange places for inspiration, but please, are you serious? Just click here and view the first five clips of the Photo Essay(wonder if I can do that for English class, hmmm?). Behold, to shield your eyes.
I admit though, the second photo is quite funny(the pointy-hat thing on a pretty girl, ha!). And the Samurai Inspired dres is kind of cool in that futurisic way.

What My Dad Gave Me

This is a 65 foot structure in New York dedicated to all the tall skyscrapers and buildings of NYC. This art piece is constructed from toy parts. It can be seen at the Rockfeller Centre from 11th June to 19th July 2008.

Irregular Basics-Hiding Stuff

You need to hide somethjing but where? First of all, it depends on what it is, how important it is and how big is it. If its something small, but not that important, then anyplace you can remember is fine. But if its small andimportant, then hide it somewhere hard to reach; somewhere unexpected. One place that I've discovered is my doorstop. I couldn't really find an image for this doortstop. So I took one of my own. As you can see, the doorstop is very unsuspicious. You can take the doorstop thing out, hide your object in the cylindrical thing(doorstop) and, place the doorstop back on. I don't know if everyone has these doorstops, but if you do, hoorah!

If it's something like a password, and you need to write it down, write it down backwards or with a code. Make it seem as useless as you can, so if someone finds it, they'll go, "Oh, looks like gibberish or some other random thing. Definitely not the password I was looking for." See?

If you need to hide something big, use your imagination! It's very important to search for a credulous(hehe) place, where you can easily retrieve this item when needed without suspicion, because it's big(duh!). Also, make sure this hding place won't destroy your item either.

Another really good hiding place is to hide it with some of your very personal things. No one would dare go looking through your personal things. But remember, the most likely place anyone would go looking would be where your personal things are. Quite a paradox, eh?

Ambient ArtRage

I usually enjoy messing around on Paint, but sometimes it can be quite...boring/annoying? Lucklily, I found one of those CDs that come with computer magazines. I downloaded this art program and I swear it is the BEST thing to have(apart from Limewire, of course-hehe-). It is called Ambient ArtRage. I installed the Ambient Design ArtRage 2.5 Starter Edition(this just means I din't have the full use of the software, which is a shame, since you can sprinkle glitter and use metallic paints and goldleaf your masterpieces.)
Download or install this software if you can(watch out for the computer viruses through!)

I heard this last night on the radio and saw it again in the newspaper. This is unbelievably weird.

Where: Jail.
A donkey was sent to jail for kicking someone. Mr donkey will stay there to cover the 'victims' costs. Hello? A donkey isn't a human you know. They are adorable but not-so-smart creatures.

Irregular Basics-The Mission

So, now you consider yourself as an Irregular, well, congratulations. If you don't or have no idea about what I'm talking about, don't worry, because it still applies to you too.
Ok, you've just found out you're going on a mission. Remember the 3 p's; Plan, Prepare and Proceed.

i)Plan: what is your mission/task about? Plan out your route on getting there, and an escape plan(if needed. Will you need some of the green stuff/moolah/magic money/cash What will the weather be that day? How far is it? Will you need comfy shoes? Do you need some background info on whatever it is? Well then, PLAN this all out.

ii)Prepare: needless to say, gather your resources and whatever else you need from your planning stage. If it's going to rain that day, wear warm clothes. If you don't have any money at the moment, mooch some off(you might need it, you never know). Remember to blend. Use a reversable jacket, take extra accerssories to use on yourself(hairclips, jewelry, headbands, etc...) I recommend you take the folowing with you on all missions/outings where you are an Irregular:
-A SAK(Swiss Army Knife). Get the type which has a magnifying glass, a screwriver, scissors, a plier, a minuiture saw and a nail filer(never know when you ned one, eh?)
-Torch/Flashlight
-Pen/pencil and notepad
-Money
-A picture of your pet chicken(hehe, just joking)

iii)Proceed: Duh, now do your stuff! Good Luck

A substitute teacher, Jim Piculas, has been sacked in Florida. All because of performing a magic trick (yes, a magic trick, not real magic) in class, which made a student become traumatised.
"I get a call the middle of the day from head of supervisor of substitute teachers. He says, 'Jim, we have a huge issue. You can't take any more assignments. You need to come in right away.' I said, 'Well Pat, can you explain this to me?' 'You've been accused of wizardry.' Wizardry?" Piculas said.

Legless Lizard

Scientists have discovered a legless lizard on an expedition in Central Brazil.

"The lizard of the Bachia genus resembles a snake due to its lack of legs and pointed snout, which help it move across the predominantlysandy soil," Conservation International said.

14 other species new to science have also been discovered on the expedition.

If you're like me, you like to read. Or maybe not. I'm going to try and post about an interesting book I've read lately. Today's book is(or should I say series?).....
The Roman Mysteries series by Caroline Lawrence

This series is about four young children who live in Ostia, a port town of Ancient Rome. Each book has it's own 'case' which Flavia(the freeborn Roman), Nubia(the ex-slave), Jonathan(Jewish boy, son of doctor) and Lupus(the mute ex-beggar boy) solve.
In every book you learn at least one new fact about Ancient Rome. You also learn ancient Rome vocabulary words too. Each book has a carefully written plot. This series is too hard to put down once you've started. I recommend this series for anyone aged 11 +
